  • Primary sources. Every deadline and payout traces to a settlement notice, a docket, or an agency order, listed on the page.
  • Dated and re-checked. Pages show when they were last verified.
  • Allegations are labeled. We say what a court has decided and what it has not.
  • Independent. Law firms can advertise for case reviews. They cannot buy coverage.

Questions readers ask.

How do I find class action settlements I qualify for?

Start with the open settlements list, filter by topic, and read each settlement's eligibility line: it says who is in the class, the dates, and whether proof is required. If you match, file on the official settlement website named in the court notice. Filing is free and usually takes a few minutes.

Can I file a settlement claim without proof of purchase?

Often, yes. Many consumer settlements pay a smaller fixed amount to people who swear under penalty of perjury that they bought the product, and a larger amount to people with receipts. Each settlement page on this site says whether proof is required, optional, or not needed.

How do I join a class action lawsuit?

Usually you do not need to do anything to be part of a class: if the case settles and you fit the class definition, you file a claim for your share. If you were injured or lost a lot of money, an individual claim or a mass tort case may be worth more, and a free case review can tell you whether an attorney will take it.

Is it safe to file a class action claim?

Yes, if you file on the official settlement website. Real settlements never charge a fee to file and never ask for your bank password. Fake settlement sites and scam emails do circulate, so check the web address against the court notice or a trusted source before entering your information.

Is the case review really free?

Yes. Telling us what happened costs nothing and does not obligate you to hire anyone. Best Class Actions is an attorney advertising and case connection service, not a law firm, and participating attorneys decide for themselves whether to take a case.
